Every car, lit to sell

Dealership lot lighting that sells after dark

A lot is a showroom with weather. The front row sells at night, from the road, and the pole luminaires decide whether a dark car looks black or looks dirty.

Dealership lots run 175 W to 1000 W metal halide on 25 to 35 foot poles and pay for it twice: in power and in relamping from a lift truck every couple of years. Colour shifts as the lamps age, so the front row is lit two different whites by the second winter.

The PL Series replaces a 1000 W metal halide with 310 W, holds its colour for the life of the fixture and puts the light on the cars instead of into the sky and the neighbour's windows. Type IV forward-throw optics along the road frontage light the front row from behind, so the customer driving past sees the paint, not the glare.

Questions

Asked before the quote

How many poles do we actually need?

The planner runs the lumen method on your lot size and mounting height and gives a fixture count with a spacing check. A photometric layout confirms it before anything ships.

Does dark-sky compliance matter for a dealership?

More municipalities require it every year. Full-cutoff PL optics keep the light below the horizontal, which keeps the by-law officer and the neighbours off the phone.
