The pad

Well pad, tank farm and compressor station lighting

A pad is a small industrial site with no neighbours, a hard winter and often no grid. The lighting has to survive the site and run on whatever power is there.

Oil and gas sites are remote, cold and corrosive, and the crews that visit them do not want to be changing lamps. A fixture that fails in February stays failed until spring.

The PL and WP Series carry the sealed housing, the -40 C start and the 10 kV surge rating the sites demand, and the 24V DC option runs straight from a solar and battery bank at a valve station or a wellhead. Classified areas are flagged by the planner and the rated variant is confirmed per project.

24V DCNo grid power at this site. The planner has switched to the 24V DC line (PL and WP) and is sizing the battery bank and solar panel for the fixture count.

Questions

Asked before the quote

Can these run at a site with no grid power?

Yes. Pick off-grid in the planner and it switches to the 24V DC line and sizes the battery bank and panel for the fixture count.

What about H2S and corrosion?

Textured powder coat over die-cast aluminum with stainless fasteners is the standard build. Marine-grade coatings are confirmed per project.
