The town after dark

Municipal lot, street and facility lighting

Towns own the most lights and the least time to look after them. A works yard, a main-street lot, an arena parking lot and a water plant are four different lighting jobs on one budget.

Municipal lighting is bought on a tender and maintained by a crew with a bucket truck and a hundred other things to do. Every relamp is a truck roll. Every HPS fixture that ages orange is a complaint at council.

The PL Series covers lots, yards and streets from a single family, with full-cutoff optics for dark-sky by-laws and a 10 kV surge rating for a rural grid. The WP Series handles building perimeters and doors. Everything runs on 120 to 480 V, and the 24V DC option lights a remote pumphouse or a trailhead where the grid does not reach.

Questions

Asked before the quote

Can we get 3000K for a dark-sky by-law?

Yes. The PL Series is available in 3000K on request, and the full-cutoff optic keeps the light below the horizontal.

What about the rural grid and lightning?

Surge protection is rated at 10 kV on every fixture, which is the number the rural utilities ask for.
